ARFEN ARMOURED JOINT

Technological developments in this century we live in continue to develop and change certain applications in the construction sector as in every sector. Arfen Armoured Joint technology, one of these technological revolutions, radically changes the applications of industrial floors.

Arfen Armoured Joint System is a product designed to prevent cracks on the concrete surface in high-depth concrete applied in factory/facility industrial floors. This armoured joint system is a unique product consisting of a 40x10 mm cold-drawn steel, steel studs, 8 mm thickness bar dowel with plastic sleeve and metal sheet.

Arfen Armoured Joint, which is adjusted according to the upper level of the concrete before the concrete pouring of industrial floors, starts to work with the concrete shrinkage without the need for an external intervention. As the concrete hardens, it starts to shrink due to water loss and needs to move. The concrete, which provides adherence from the studs and the plastic sleeve on the steel bar dowel, starts to activate the system with its movement. The system allows the concrete to move freely until the 28-day full strength stage of the Slab industrial concrete. In addition to this, this unique system gives the concrete a dynamic structure by ensuring the movements that will occur due to temperature changes during using.

In addition to this technical benefit, it protects the concrete edge broken, which are frequently encountered in industrial floors, during the lifetime of the structure with the cold drawn steel plate on it. It allows the load passing over it to be transferred from one side to the other in a controlled manner with the help of the bar dowel integrated into the system. Some project designers also use this armoured concrete Joint system as leave-in-place formwork too

Arfen Armoured Joint System is in active applying in the projects which are located in Romania, Lithuania, Greece, Bulgaria, Russia, Czech, Poland, Hungary, Poland, England, Nederland, Germany, Serbia, Croatia, Austria, Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia. System will be used in Latin America countries in 2023 with the new agreements. Planning to triple its production capacity due to the new agreements that has been made at the beginning of this year, ARFEN is proud to share its new factory investment for Armoured Joint production with its business partners.
